Pastas Gallo, founded in 1946 by 20-year-old entrepreneur José Espona, began with the acquisition of a flour factory in Rubí, Barcelona. Espona's innovative spirit led him to pioneer the use of durum wheat in Spain, transforming local agriculture and the pasta market. In 1956, he built Spain's first semolería, and by the late 1960s, Pastas Gallo products were available nationwide.

Espona's commitment to innovation saw him travel to Italy to master durum wheat semolina, leading to the acquisition and reorganization of multiple factories across Spain. His legacy continues in the 21st century, with Pastas Gallo prioritizing differentiation, quality, and innovation. Notable milestones include the launch of gluten-free products in 2004 and a new range of quick-cook pasta in 2013.

Today, Pastas Gallo products are consumed in over 40 countries, maintaining a strong commitment to healthy eating and rigorous quality control. The brand continues to lead the pasta sector, anticipating consumer trends and needs.
